Olesia Saienko is a photographer and artist from Ukraine. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology. She began her career as a photojournalist in 2017. Working at the intersection of documentary and conceptual photography, she also creates video works, installations, and artist books.
Her artistic practice explores the boundaries of documentary, objectivity, and post-truth, extending her background in journalism. She also investigates themes of transformation and death.
Part archivist, part trickster.
Represented by Asortymentna Kimnata.
Member of the Ukrainian Women Photographers Organization and MYPH.
